Chance the Rapper, a married father of two, is being criticized by fans for dancing “inappropriately” with another lady at Carnival 2023 in Jamaica.
Model Mela Millz uploaded a video to Instagram on Monday showing the “No Problem” artist while he was grinding on her.
Chance was shirtless and only sporting his trademark “3” hat and pair of tie-dye shorts, while Millz was dressed lightly in typical Carnival attire.
The “Voice” coach was accused of being unfaithful to his wife, Kirsten Corley, by some social media users in response to the video. However, others countered that he was only celebrating his 30th birthday while visiting the island on Sunday.
“He has no class,” one Twitter user wrote.
“Chancellor where is yo wifeeee,” another tweeted, using Chance’s real first name (albeit misspelled).
“He was just dancing til he starting slapping,” a third quipped.
“imagine what he’s doin when there’s no cameras around,” one more user added.
“This is definitely not inappropriate unless he and his wife had a conversation & she didn’t want him to attend. If you attend then you may end up dancing & having fun. That’s the point of the event,” a fan tweeted.
“It’s Carnival. Y’all gotta relax,” another wrote.
“Everyone bringing up his wife. Dancing especially at carnival not that deep. You could dance w a stranger and never see em again. Married or not ,” a third defender added.
Chance has not publicly addressed the backlash.
