After many years of being a widower, Bishop Glen Staples, senior pastor of Temple of Praise Church, remarries at the age of 70.
The 70-year-old proud father of five, who announced his engagement and pre-wedding festivities with Dr. Sharon in an Instagram post earlier this year, allegedly got married in March.
Bishop T.D. Jakes, the founding pastor of Potters House Church married the couple.
Bishop Jakes, who was obviously delighted to see his friend’s wedding, remarked that both old and new acquaintances attended the reception that evening. It was a “Elegant evening after many struggles,” he said of the occasion.

Jakes mentioned that his friend had overcome cancer and heart surgery. He went on to provide words of support to anyone who might be going through difficult times as Staples did. Don’t give up if you’re in a difficult situation, he said.
