As per reports, Mother Gertrude was 77 years old at the time of her death and had celebrated her birthday one week before. It has been shared that she passed on September 20, 2021. Several people have been paying her tribute and condolence on social media as they are still in shock she has passed on.
She was a native of Detroit, Michigan. It is also coming forward that she had 11 siblings and she was the 7th child. Born to the late Prophet Cato II and Tennessee Weatherspoon, Gertrude was a well-known pastor. Apart from this, it is also speculated that she was the popular actor John Witherspoon’s sister.
