At the Rochester Main Street Armory performance venue in upstate New York on Sunday, there appears to have been a stampede, which left one person dead and two others critically injured, according to authorities.
In the 5,000-person arena, the event took place late on Sunday night during a performance by the rappers GloRilla and Finesse2Tymes.
“I’m just now hearing about what happened wtf praying everybody is ok,” Gloria Hallelujah Woods, known as the Grammy-nominated rapper GloRilla, posted on Twitter.

At midnight, the Rochester Police Department said that they were summoned to the Armory “for what was initially the report of shots fired inside the premises during a music event.”
Once inside, officers found several injured people, including a 33-year-old female who “has been pronounced deceased.”
Two people who were brought to a nearby hospital are “now classed as serious, life-threatening,” according to a statement from police to the media. Arriving policemen helped medical workers treat the patients.
Six more people were dropped off at nearby hospitals by private vehicles with “non-life-threatening injuries connected to this same occurrence,” the statement continued.
