Shamea posted on her IG today that their much anticipated little girl has been born prematurely, but immediately had breathing issue and had to be intubated.
Shadina Blunt, a surrogate for Shamea Morton, was given a breast cancer diagnosis last week. Blunt’s early labor has started only days after she received the news of her cancer diagnosis.
For the previous seven seasons, Morton has also been a friend of the reality show Real Housewives Of Atlanta. She has one daughter, Shya Mwinge, who is presently living with her husband, Gerald Mwinge. Second child for the couple is being carried by Shadina.
Six days ago, Dr. Jackie and Shamea, a radio host at Atlanta’s V-103, assisted Shadina in sharing the unexpected breast cancer news.

“The journey took a twist and i couldn’t do this with out [Dr.] Jackie. So, we, unfortunately, found some abnormal cells in my breast so we are going to have to deliver this sweet baby early, unfortunately,” Shadina stated.

Hey Best friends! I appreciate all of the calls, texts, dm’s etc… I’ve been too overwhelmed to talk and every time I talk about it I cry.🥺 Shiloh was born on Valentine’s Day at 7:58pm. She weighed 6 lbs 8 ounces and she was 18.5 inches. She was a nice size preemie! 😍 She def didn’t miss a meal. 😂 I cut the umbilical cord and we got a faint cry so we thought everything was fine. Moments later she began to struggle to breathe. 😰 The doctors @northsidehosp immediately began to work on her but she eventually had to be put on 100% oxygen. 😔 A few hours later she was intubated and placed on a ventilator. That’s where we are now. 💔 I’ve been a mess, heart palpitations, anxiety etc…but Shiloh is a fighter.💪🏾 @shadinablunt is doing well and she’s been doing updates on her page.
