In this entertaining musical, Tina Gordon and Will Packer tell the story of a young woman who, despite her reluctance to even attend church, begins singing in a youth choir after being persuaded to do so by her annoying cousin.

Sam played by Chloe Bailey, like many teenagers, had goals and aspirations that weren’t always in line with her father’s, thus, like Will on The Fresh Prince, he sent her to live with her “auntie and uncle in Belair” except in the this film Sam went to Hotlanta!
Chloe wants to be a singer, and Will wanted to be a rapper, this time Anjelika Washington portrays the annoying cousin similar to Carlton on Fresh Prince. If you were a fan of “The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air,” the original series from the 1990s, you will notice parallels.
Sam was eager to launch her musical career by whatever means necessary and had no idea that the church praise team would be the way to do it, but like most her deep desire caused her to make some bad decisions.

It was uncomfortable for her to go to church with her annoying cousin, but her gift made room for her. It is obvious that there is a deliberate focus on “winning her to Christ” because Sam arrives on the scene as what is known in the church community as wayward or not a Christian.
The message was conveyed in a non-obtrusive manner that may undoubtedly inspire younger people to get involved in church activities.
I adore the film’s outstanding production design. One of the largest rappers in the game, one of the biggest r&b artists, and some of today’s most well-known gospel artists were all mixed together flawlessly.
The movie has a shocking twist that you won’t see coming! Just to give you a little, Quavo and Chloe play opposing roles.
I loved the twist because it cleverly shined light on the hip hop scene to show that not all rappers are the same; there are some good ones.

“Praise This” is a generally enjoyable family movie. It won’t provide you with intense thrill, but it will instead convey a positive message about the value of forgiving others and having faith.
It works well as a witnessing tool. I can see how there is opportunity for a Part 2, which I would love to see intensify and throw Sam into the real world of gospel or R&B.
My favorite character was Jess, performed by Anjelika Washington, and Chloe’s performance was good. Many of the other cast members’ one- and two-liners could have been developed more.
As for the soundtrack, it is fire!!! There is a nightclub scene and Sam (Chloe) is challenged to take familiar songs and turn them into gospel songs this was my highlight in the movie! Overall, this movie will be a great way to bond and spend time with the family over the Easter Weekend.
