Shereé Whitfield, a member of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” explains in a recent Instagram post why she hasn’t been active on social media.
She wrote, “Sorry boos, I been MIA due to the passing of my dad [broken heart emoji]. So thankful for all the text, cards, flowers, etc.”
“My family and I really appreciate everyone who reached out. Always remember to cherish your family and friends. #RipDad #Family #ClevellandBornAndRaised.”
Her post featured two pictures of her father: one of him in uniform serving the nation, and the other a selfie he and Whitfield shared.

The creator of “She By Sheree” also included a little clip from her father’s funeral in which an American flag was draped over his coffin and a trumpet was being blown in the distance.
Several of Whitfield’s fans responded to her post by expressing their sympathies for her loss and even commenting on how much her father resembled Whitfield’s son Kairo, who is 27 years old.

A few also wrote sweet messages, “I’m so sorry for your loss. Praying for your family,” former “RHOA” member Porsha Williams wrote.
Kenya Moore and Cynthia Bailey added sweet messages under her page as well.
