On WEtv tonight, a new reality series called Grown & Gospel will make its debut. Reality TV series centered on the religious community in the past haven’t exactly been successful, but this group is optimistic and is ready for whatever comes!
Producing this kind of television is highly delicate since many people consider it to be church exploitation. This cast, however, feels the opposite. At what is known as Bible Study hour in the south, they walked the red carpet in Atlanta on Wednesday night.
These are the children of well-known gospel musicians and preachers that many have respected over the years. The question some would ask is will this put a damper on the brand of their parents and others may agree they are all adults and whatever they display will reflect their individual lives and should have no barring’s on their parents.
I’m trying to figure out who will be the star of the show and I’m torn between Ellijah and Tasha Lockhart! Ellijah comes off as a full vibe and a free spirt and Tasha has been known to be very transparent about her life and struggles. They have one of the most sought after producers Carlos King producing the show!
Our very own Derek Peters asked Carlos the difference between producing reality tv for this faith-based group and his other reality shows that are popping right now. Check out our exclusive below to hear his answer:
