Two Parents Commit Murder-Suicide In The Parking Lot Of A Carwash

The parents of two young children died in a murder-suicide at a car wash in Georgia, authorities said.

Christopher Roberson, 33, and Porcha Carter, 29, were found dead around 9 p.m. Sunday at the Sylvania Car Wash and Laundromat in Screven County, news station WJCL reported.

The pair had met there so Roberson could drop off their two kids to Carter, new station WTOC reported.

It’s believed they got into a squabble before Roberson pulled out a gun, authorities said.

He allegedly shot Carter before turning the gun on himself.

“We’ve got a family that’s broken and two little children that’ll be raised without their parents,” Screven County Sheriff Mike Kile told WTOC.

Kile said Roberson worked for the agency as a dispatcher and then as a corrections officer.

It’s unclear what the status of the relationship between Roberson and Carter was at the time.

Kile said officers had been called before to break up arguments between the couple, though he was unaware of any violent incidents involving them.

“You wish to God you could do something. Because I knew both of them and both of them were good people,” Kile said.
