
With the announcement that she is about to release her first official R&B single thanks to a recently inked agreement with Epic Records, Tori Kelly is fulfilling the prayers of many music lovers and upsetting some in the gospel community.
The GRAMMY-winning songbird, who has previously received widespread praise for her Pop and Gospel compositions, announced her intention to make a name for herself in the R&B genre on social media on Tuesday (March 7).
The Jon Bellion-produced song will be available digitally on March 17 when Tori unveiled the scorching cover art for the single “Missin U.” Tori also debuted her new look. She even provided a sneak preview for her 4.1 million Instagram fans (seen and heard in the video below).
The Epic Records offering is her first solo original release since 2020 and serves as the first taste of her impending, untitled first album with the company.
At writing, the tentative release for the new LP is Friday, March 17, 2023
