Hello everyone, we are sadden by the sudden death of Pastor Corey Hines. Many of you have asked how you can help. We would like to take the burden away from his wife by starting a college for each of his children. Myriah-16, Myrisa-10 , Corey Jr-3. All of you who knew Corey knows that he loved his children dearly. He was a family man and enjoyed providing the best for them. Whatever you are able to give will be a blessing to his children. We love each of you and thank you for your support. He was 32 years young.

Obituary for Pastor Corey Hines

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Pastor Corey V. Hines of Arlington, TX on the 2nd of Jan., at the age of 32 years.

Pastor Corey was born in Fort Worth, Texas to the parents of Michael & Valeria Hines. He was a graduate of Sam Houston HS in 2006. Continuing his education at University of Texas at Arlington Pastor Corey received his Bachelor’s & Masters in Social Work with a focus in clinical counseling. While obtaining his Bachelor’s he found the love of his life Lady Renee Hines and got married in 2014. After school Corey began working for Lifeline Children and Family Services were he worked tirelessly placing children in loving homes. While working full time he answered his calling, and accepted the role of being the Senior Pastor of the Heavenly Gospel Church succeeding his late grandfather Pastor Floyd G. Taylor & lovely wife Helen Taylor. During his time as the Senior Pastor of Heavenly Gospel he implemented a culture of love, community, wholeness, and wellness.

He is survived by his amazing wife Renee Hines. Children- Myriah, Myrisa, Corey Jr., & new bundle of joy on the way. Parents- Michael & Valeria Hines. Grandmother- Helen Taylor. Siblings- Michael Hines(Amanda), Floyd Hines (Lupita), Chelsye Hines, and Aminta Hines. A numerous amount of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Pastor Corey was predeceased by his grandfather Pastor Floyd G. Taylor, grandmother Corrine Hines, aunt Cheryl Gee, and uncle Gregory Taylor.

Corey Hines is an emerging leader who is a passionate communicator of the Gospel and loves sharing it in his unique and uncompromising way. Corey Hines currently serves as Lead Pastor at Heavenly Gospel Church in Fort Worth Texas. As much as he loves preaching and leading, nothing compares to the joy he gets from being married to his wife Reneé Hines and their three children: Myriah, Myrisa and Corey Jr.
