Riverview Christian Fellowship announced on their Facebook page that several staff tested positive for coronavirus and other staff are feeling sick.
The Coos Bay church is canceling services because of COVID-19, but not everyone involved is being tested for the virus.
Church Pastor Daniel Fox said in the video that the rest of staff hasn’t tested for COVID but they are “pretty sure” they know what it is.
They have canceled services and are quarantining like it is COVID, including its Christmas service, Sunday services and Wednesday worship.
The video says they will return on Sunday, January 3, at the end of their “contagious window.”
“We’re so bummed we had to cancel the Christmas Eve service this year. It’s the last thing we wanted to do,” Fox said. “We’re not shutting down because of fear, because the government said we have to, or anything else. We’re shutting down because we’re all sick and practically can’t come together to do the service.”
