Oprah Winfrey was a food bank fairy godmother yesterday when she popped up at the Freestore Foodbank in Cincinnati, Ohio, to help over 100 volunteers pack school meals. She made her surprise visit on behalf of her food line O, That’s Good! to show support for Kroger’s Zero Hunger | Zero Wasteinitiative.

“It’s an honor to support this initiative in the local Cincinnati community and beyond,” Winfrey said in a press release. “I am committed to the fight against hunger because I’ve seen the impact it has on people. That’s why I wanted to be here today to help pack food for Cincinnati children facing hunger. The work Kroger is doing is special and meaningful.”

In addition to helping pack 2,000 meals for children in the greater Cincinnati community, Winfrey’s food line and Kroger donated one million meals to Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization.

Kroger chairman and CEO Rodney McMullen said that Winfrey’s involvement in the event was “inspiring and energizing” and shared, “Kroger is thrilled to have Oprah Winfrey and O, That’s Good! be a part of Zero Hunger | Zero Waste—our plan to end hunger in the communities we call home and eliminate waste in the company by 2025—as we celebrate the one-year anniversary of announcing our moonshot.”

After the meals were packed, Winfrey treated the volunteers to a pizza party with new frozen pizzas from her food line. The pizzas are made more nutritious by replacing one-third of the crust with cauliflower, and contain no artificial flavors, dyes or preservatives.

O, That’s Good! was inspired by Winfrey’s love for delicious and nutritions food. The line launched in 2017 in partnership with Kraft Heinz, initially debuting refrigerated soups and side dishes with a nutritious twist.

Winfrey has been open about both her relationship with food and her struggle with weight, and has become a strong proponent of Weight Watchers weight loss program. In early 2017, she shared her favorite healthy recipes in her cookbook, Food, Health, and Happiness.
