

Police say a man has been arrested in connection to the death of a teenager who was killed Thursday afternoon.
John Wesley Moore, 56, is charged with second-degree murder, according to MPD.
On May 6, officers were called to the 1700 block of Edward Ave, where they found one man unresponsive and suffering from gunshot wounds.
Officers are on the scene of a man down call at 1736 Edward Ave. Officers located one unresponsive male suffering from a GSW. He was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no suspect info at this time. This is an ongoing homicide investigation. Please call 901-528-CASH with tips.

Moore allegedly shot the juvenile after finding him inside his daughter’s bedroom in their home on Edward Avenue.
Investigators say a fight broke out between Moore and the victim who was shot leaving the scene.
He was pronounced dead on the scene, according to police.
