Azealia Banks targeted Wild ‘n Out host Nick Cannon for allegedly making an offensive joke while they filmed a segment of his show Saturday. The episode has not yet aired.
Banks said she was canceling her album because of the apparent bad blood she had with Cannon, even though he seemingly wasn’t involved in her new music. “I need some time to relax and bounce on d***. I’ll release new music when I feel like it,” Banks said on her Instagram Story Sunday.
She then took direct shots at Cannon, making fun of him for suffering from lupus. Banks’ story read, “I wonder if Nick Cannon will do the next season of ‘Wild ‘n Out’ with a colostomy bag. I wonder if the colostomy bag will have the ‘Wild ‘n Out’ logo on it.”
She continued: “If I were to make fun of nick cannon for having lupus and being weak and sickly………if I made a joke that he’d be dead by the end of the year……..The Azealia Banks is the bad guy….Right?”
Cannon shared the post on his Instagram account, adding, “Don’t you hate when you create your own storms but forget your umbrella??? We are praying for your queen #speedyrecovery”
Banks shot back. “Nick Cannon, you don’t have to pray for me. Pray for your f***ing immune system,” she said.
In her original Instagram post about the incident, Banks claimed she cried on set. She then uploaded videos of her during the show’s photo shoot, saying she was “being a good sport.”
Banks put up with the alleged offensive jokes because she wanted to be a good feature on Wild ‘nOut. She argued he wouldn’t have made those comments if her race were different. “You would not be able to do that to a white woman because a white n**** would stop your shit,” Banks claimed.
“Lol they said I had to hop on the internet to gain a backbone,” she continued, “but if I would have dug my nails into that boy’s eyeholes and punctured his eyeball on that stage how I wanted too……..then I’d be in jail…..”
