A 12-year-old child has died and a 4-year-old is in critical condition after a horse fell on them in Lake View Terrace on Tuesday night, authorities said.
Los Angeles Police Department Officer Raymond Brown said he had no further details on Wednesday morning about the children or what happened.
One child initially was pulseless and another suffered non-life threatening injuries after the horse fell on them at or near the Lake View Terrace Recreation Center at 11075 Foothill Blvd., the Los Angeles Fire Department stated in a news release.
The pulseless child was not breathing and transported to a hospital in grave condition, the Fire Department said on Tuesday. The other child was also transported to a hospital.
The Fire Department released no further details on the incident, which authorities responded to at 7:57 p.m.
