A lottery winner was stabbed to death inside his Bronx home, police said.
The victim, identified as 73-year-old Owen Dillard, was discovered by his fiance around 8:35 p.m. Monday inside their shared Mott Haven apartment on Beekman Avenue, where he was lying on the living room floor with several stab wounds to his neck, cops said Monday night.
Dillard’s fiance, 60, told authorities she left the third-floor apartment that morning, and returned to find Dillard’s lifeless body, according to police, who said there were no signs of forced entry.
She called 911, but Dillard could not be saved. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police interviewed the woman, but did not take her into custody, law enforcement sources told The Post.
Dillard had recently won a $10,000 jackpot, according to ABC7.
