Wendy Williams is ready to return to television.
The controversial talk show host tweeted an update to concerned fans on Tuesday.
“Hey @MrJerryOC thanks for being my guest host while I’m out getting some much needed rest,” she said. “See you all Monday, March 19th! XOX, Wendy.”
Jerry O’Connell will serve as the show’s first-ever guest host in the week leading up to her return.
“Jerry has been such a good friend to me and to the show,” Williams said in a statement. “We’re happy to welcome him as a guest host while I’m out getting much needed rest. Can’t wait to get back in my purple chair!”
March 19 will mark her long awaited return after abruptly announcing a three-week break to handle her medical issues.
Williams, 53, has always been vocal about her overactive thyroid and Graves’ disease. However, a doctor ordered rest for the talk star.
“My thyroid has been totally cattywampus,” Williams told audience members in February. “My doctor has prescribed, are you ready? Three weeks of vacation. I was pissed. Encore performances, really?”
Williams took three days off due to the fluin early February and she also fainted on live TV back in October 2016.
