An Alabama church is under fire this week for seeming to compare Roy Moore’s situation to Jesus Christ.

The Living Way Ministries reportedly put up a sign that read, “They falsely accused Jesus. Vote Roy Moore.”

Moore has been accused by several women of sexual misconduct, some of which is said to have occurred when a number of the women were underage.

One person posted, “It is blasphemous for a group claiming to follow Christ to support a pedophile who preys on young girls. Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to. ‘Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are… Blind fools!’ ~Jesus of Nazareth (Matthew 23).”

Another posted, “This is not really a church of God. This is a church of evil and worshippers of evil. They praise the evil deeds of the evil judge Roy Moore and choose him and his evil ways over the needs, safety and virginity of children. Apparently they advocate for the practice of adult men dating children just like NAMBLA. I would avoid this house of evil at all cost to your immortal soul. For this is the church of the Damned and it’s the pathway to tell and Satan.”

A third person posted, “Actually for those bible ignorant folks- Jesus was NOT falsely accused…….He was guilty as charged and had planned from day one for the verdict and sentence to be what it was…. How dare you compare a politician to Jesus. Jesus was A-POLITICAL seeking to serve only a heavenly kingdom. Never once did Jesus or any of his followers in Bible times seek to legislate God’s commands into a government’s laws. He stated plainly ‘My kingdom is NO part of this world.’ The likes of Roy Moore (kicked off the bench TWICE) would never be in the company of one such as the Christ. Turn off your Fox News, actually pick up the Bible and read the Jesus account. He was not a dominionist at any level. He was not nationalistic never once putting one manmade government ahead of another. But start with the Sermon on the Mount Matt 5-7. Shut the preachers out, stop Elvisizing Jesus and actually read the book for a change-.”
