BARROW COUNTY, Ga. – Georgia Bulldogs starting linebacker Natrez Patrick was arrested late Saturday following the Bulldogs’ win over Auburn in the SEC Championship, according to jail records.
Barrow County sheriff’s officials told Channel 2 Action News Patrick was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana less than one ounce.
Patrick was arrested just last month on the same charge.
It is Patrick’s third arrest.
Sheriff’s officials said Patrick was arrested with Jayson Kyle Stanley, who according to Dawgs.com is a wide receiver.
Two years ago, Patrick and then-teammate Chauncey Rivers were arrested for possession of marijuana. Patrick served a one-game suspension.
UGA’s student-athlete handbook calls for a four-game suspension for football players who incur a second marijuana violation.
UGA finished No. 3 in the rankings and the Dawgs will face No. 2 Oklahoma. No. 1 Clemson will face No. 4 Alabama.
