HBO’s Bill Maher stated in an interview with Donna Brazile Friday that it “doesn’t matter” if the Democratic primaries were rigged against Bernie Sanders.
“First of all, I feel like we spend all of 2017, stuck in 2016,” Maher said, continuing, “Can we put the Bernie-Hillary thing aside? That great divide.”
“I mean, that’s what all the controversy was with your book, that the elections were-the primaries were rigged. And, you know, it doesn’t matter, first of all, now. It’s over. And also, the policy differences between the Bernie folks and the Hillary folks were really small to begin with,” he said.
Brazile published an article in Politico on November 2 titled, “Inside Hillary Clinton’s Secret Takeover of the DNC” that explained how a joint fundraising agreement gave the Clinton campaign more control over the Democratic National Committee. Brazile said the agreement was “not illegal, but it sure looked unethical.”
Since then, many on the Clinton-supporting left have been unhappy with her. Fox News’ Tucker Carlson reported this week that CNN head Jeff Zucker was “fuming” and “enraged” over Brazile’s revelations.
