Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced Friday that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against 24-year-old Brionte Ramon Dunn for three counts of rape.
According to Franklin County Municipal Count documents, Dunn held down the victim and then forced her to have sex with him. The offenses occurred about 6 a.m. Aug. 20 in a residence on Neil Avenue.
The victim went to Grant Hospital and reported the assault. According to documents, Dunn called the victim at 4:15 a.m. and asked her for a ride. The victim took him to her place of residence and then went to bed. About 15 minutes later, Dunn allegedly got into bed with the victim and began to force sexual acts upon her.
In February, Dunn pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor count of assault against a different woman that occurred in July of 2016. Dunn was placed on probation for that assault through February of 2019. He was dismissed from the Ohio State football team after that offense.
Arraignment for Dunn in this rape case is set for Monday, Oct. 16.
