Three people have been transported to the hospital with trauma alerts after a three-car crash Friday night at the intersection of Gaines and Duval streets.
Tallahassee Police Department Lt. James Fairfield said it appeared a red Honda car was traveling northbound on Duval street when it impacted a blue Chevy car pushing it into a red SUV.
One person had to be extracted from a vehicle. Fairfield said the intersection would be blocked off for several hours as traffic homicide investigators worked to piece together what happened.
A witness on the scene was shouting to police that the driver of one of the cars was traveling with his head back and eyes closed for several blocks. Since the intersection of Paul Russell Road and South Adams Street, the man was driving “full-steam ahead,” she said.
The condition of everyone involved is unclear at this time.
