Gunshots just rang out on the exterior of the Barclay’s Center in New York. So far no injuries or casualties have been reported. Joy105 will continue to report on this story as developments occur.

UPDATE: An unidentified man was shot in the leg by two assailants about 2:12 p.m. near 620 Atlantic Ave. and Flatbush Avenue, police said.

Mohammed Ali, 43, a hot dog vendor nearby, said that he heard multiple rounds fired and saw the victim laid out on the sidewalk.

“I walked down a little bit and saw someone on the floor. He was on his back. I saw blood coming from his leg. He’d been shot. He wasn’t saying much, but he was yelling about going to a hospital,” Ali said.

The shooting immediately sent passersby scattering, witnesses said.

“I heard [gunshots] and saw a whole group of people running,” said Andrew Hyland, who works nearby and was on his lunch break.

The victim was taken to Methodist Hospital where he’s listed in stable condition, FDNY and NYPD officials said.

Police were searching for two men in connection with the shooting, authorities said.

The circumstances of the shooting remain immediately unclear.
