Demi Lovato Slams Former Backup Dancer: ‘Friends Don’t Do Interviews When You OD’
Demi Lovato’s former backup dancer Dani Vitale has spoken out many times after she was partially blamed for Demi’s overdose.
Vitale tried to defend herself on social media and has also done interviews to prove to the public why she should not be blamed.
Just recently, a fan wrote on social media,
“It was completely unfair to fire Dani, she’s one of the few who really cares about demi’s health and has been helping her for 3 years, she’s surrounded by people who only care about her money and she does not see it.”
That post which got a lot of engagement didn’t sit well with Demi. She quickly responded back saying,
“You have no idea what you’re talking about.” The singer added, “True friends don’t do interviews about you after you OD.”
As you may remember, Demi was found unresponsive after partying with Vitale. Shortly after, she was accused by many of being a really ‘bad influence’ on her friend.
Since Demi committed to rehab, the singer and her team have been working hard to remove all the people who have had a negative effect on her life, and it looks Vitale happens to be one of them.
One source explained to HollywoodLife,
“Demi is happy and trying to move on from her horrible tragedy. She deleted that ugly reminder from her social media. She’s truly ready to turn the page on that chapter and to move on with her life. She could no longer tolerate looking at that tough message that sent her back to the most challenging time in her entire life. Looking at that pic was a constant reminder of the dark place she was in at the time.”
