Ciara has always been a beauty chameleon.
And the “Level Up” singer, 33, just radically changed up her hairstyle, debuting a pixie cut for the first time in years.
Ciara attended the 2019 ACE Awards in New York City to accept the Style Icon award on Monday night wearing a two-piece feathered and bejeweled look from the fall 2018 Giambattista Valli Haute Couture collection.
She complemented the statement-making outfit and hairdo with a bold red lip and glowing eye makeup and highlighter.
“Chop it awf,” Ciara captioned a video of herself with the short wig on Instagram. “You giving me Toni Braxton,” one person commented, while another dubbed her “Ciara Braxton,” referencing Braxton’s iconic look on the cover of her 1993 self-titled album (the same one Beyoncé recreated as “Phoni Braxton” for Halloween last year).
The mother of three’s transformation is particularly shocking because just last week, she sported waist-length, honey-blond dreadlocks to the CFDA Awards; in May, she sported an enormous afro to the camp-themed Met Gala.
