With several sporting events dashing across your ESPN ticker this weekend, it may be hard to juggle the wide range of events. Often regarded as the busiest weekend in Sports, the first weekend in May always encompasses the Kentucky Derby, the NBA playoffs and key early-season MLB series heating up.

However, one event that you want to be sure to catch is the Canelo vs Chavez Jr fight. Widely regarded as one of the biggest modern rivalries in Mexican boxing history, this fight is sure to be a good one. It’s also typically the weekend of the biggest boxing match of the year, coinciding with the Mexican holiday Cinco de Mayo.

On Saturday, live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, we will see one of the greatest fights in decades.


Taking a look at their separate battling styles uncovers that this 164.5-pound catchweight session has every one of the makings to be activity pressed. Add to that the truth of the animosity between them, including years of waste talk, and this one has a shot at satisfying its charging as the greatest battle in Mexican boxing history.
